Derailroaded plot

Derailroaded is a documentary about the life of Larry 'wild man' Fischer. At the age of 16, he is interned after attacking his mother with a knife. The paranoid and schizophrenic Fischer wanders the streets of LA, treating casual passers-by to a song for 10 cents. However, after he is discovered by Frank Zappa, the ball starts rolling. In no time he is the biggest curio in the underground club scene and he conquers the title 'godfather of outsider music'. This documentary features exclusive footage of Fischer's early years, his TV and club appearances, and his life from neglected child to tortured genius.
