Deforce plot

Detroit was once a model city in the United States. In a few decades, the city has experienced a massive decline in living conditions and population. A well-known explanation has to do with the decline of the auto industry. But a look at the difference between the city and the surrounding municipalities shows how incomplete this statement is. In fact, the causes are entirely political. For years, the city has been so badly run that a person now born in Detroit is more likely to face a prison term than a college degree.
