De Stand van het Gras plot

One looks through the eyes of a hedgehog and a magpie at the struggle of the Dutch with their lawn. Can nature be tamed and what does that yield? The magpie looks from above at the people from a distance. The hedgehog is right on top of it. Together they observe the frustrations and hurdles on the way to the perfect lawn. The documentary shows people as they are. Without interviews, but from the animals' point of view, we hear snippets of conversations and the lawn care workers' commentary on what they encounter, from lawnmowers to weed killers.
