De Man met de Glimlach plot

In March 1947, a train travels through a devastated Germany. The people are suffering. A young Jewish man, a camp survivor, is on board. He has no sympathy for the Germans. Until he is confronted with the hunger, which he knows all too well, of a five-year-old girl wandering barefoot through the Hamburg train station late at night.
