Is the left winger a loner, an eccentric, a philosopher or the antichrist? This documentary explores the magic of the left winger football player. And who was actually the best in the Netherlands? Several well-known former football players shed their light on the phenomenon and on the mysterious Piet Keizer in particular. Keizer, together with Johan Cruijff, formed the so-called royal couple. He was the man who mastered the scissors movement to perfection and, according to many, was unjustly in Cruijff's shadow. After ending his career in 1974, he disappeared into anonymity. He would never touch a ball again. Supported by archive footage, the colleagues of yesteryear muse about Keizer's outspoken playing style and technique.
