De Leuvense Scene plot

Leuven, in the spring of 1973. A group of musicians comes together on the Oude Markt. Armand Hombroeckx, Jean-Marie Aerts, Raymond Van het Groenewoud, Kris De Bruyne, Stoy Stoffelen, Luc Tegenbos, Jokke Kerkhofs, Erik van Neygen and about twenty other musicians pose for a photo that quickly acquired iconic status. But why did they gather in Leuven at the time? Were they all by chance at the Oude Markt that day? Or is there more to it?
