De Hemelse Bloem plot
The prohibition of pleasure, which we, men and women, unconsciously impose on women, comes in many forms. For example, 'slut shaming' prevents women from expressing themselves sexually the way they want to. Public comment on women's body hair, shape or appearance means that they can no longer view themselves neutrally, but must always relate to the gaze that is directed at them. How can the current generation of young women break free from learned or unlearned patterns of guilt and shame surrounding body image and sexuality? And how can they learn to put their own physical pleasure and self-image first?
