Bruno Ens has been researching the breeding behavior of oystercatchers on Schiermonnikoog for the University of Groningen for many years. This research has now shown that there are complex social relationships between the birds. The documentary follows Ens and his team during the fieldwork. In addition, there are various interviews with Ens and his assistant about the oystercatcher research.
