Daymohk plot

The film “Daymohk” tells the story of the Chechen star dancer and choreographer Ramzan Achmadov whose dance group Daymohk has been housed by the current president of Chechnya, Kadyrov. This means that the threat of extinction of this age-old folk dance is over for the time being. But the price is high: Ramzan had to give up his daughter Aminat to Kadyrov, who made her his third husband. And the group's young dancers have become private property of the president. In an effort to save his country's tradition, Ramzan collaborates with those in power and sacrifices what he loves most.
