Daughter Rite plot

This experimental documentary examines the relationship between mother and daughter. The film opens with an autobiographical voice-over, which tells of the filmmaker's personal crisis when she was 28 years old. What follows are old images of two young girls shown with various video edits, challenging the viewer to examine every smallest gesture. In between, two grown sisters talk about their relationship with their mother. We only get to know reality at the end of the film.
