Dansend Teheran plot

Iranian Maedeh Hojabri (17) dances without a headscarf in her living room and posts videos on Instagram. The police intervene and she is arrested. Dancing, especially without a headscarf, is considered subversive in Iran. When journalist Masih Alinejad publishes Maedeh's story and posts a video of herself dancing in a park, solidarity comes from all sides. Countless women and men join #BeraghsToBeraghsim (let's dance) and post videos of them dancing, mostly bareheaded. Maedeh's story becomes world news.
