When Danny Fields was young, he thought no one would ever want to be friends with him. Decades later, he looks back on a life filled with "smart people": from Lou Reed, Nico and Iggy Pop to Alice Cooper. Named after a song by the Ramones, “Danny Says” documents the (musical) life of the man born in 1939 as Daniel Henry Feinberg. We see him sardonicly commenting on his own bar mitzvah video and on all the people he met after dropping out of law school at Harvard and opting for a rebellious rock 'n' roll life. Fields was an editor for the leading teen magazine Datebook (and later 16 Magazine), frequented Warhol's Silver Factory, became a press agent for The Doors and manager of the Ramones.
