According to statistics, aesthetic nose surgery in Iran ranks number one in the world ranking of plastic nose surgery. This is in stark contrast to the official Islamic and intellectual ideals of the post-revolution Islamic Republic, which believes in intellectuality and a penchant for the upliftment of the soul, without paying attention to appearance and the face with the help of surgery, which from the perspective of the Shari'ah is an interference with the work of God. But Iranian youth have different needs and views. Due to the mandatory hijab, Iranian women have few opportunities to beautify their appearance and make themselves attractive. The only body part that the outside world sees is their face, so everything about it has to be perfect. A small, shapely nose has become the symbol of beauty and self-esteem.
