Dalton's Dream plot

In 2018, Dalton Harris, a young musician from rural Jamaica, became the first black man to win The X Factor UK. The X Factor win came with a lucrative recording contract that promised to transform Dalton's life. But this didn't give him any immediate hits or big shows, and a period of self-doubt and depression followed. The documentary follows him in the years following his X Factor success. He is seen returning to Jamaica, where he visits the home where he spent a childhood of neglect and abuse. Back in London, he is seen struggling with his mental health and his career.
