Coal India plot

Reflection on the repetitive force of strenuous physical labor recorded in the Indian coalfields of Coal India near Dhanbad. There is a great contrast between the sunny corporate promotional film in the Bollywood style with which the film opens and the gray veil under which the monotonous handiwork in the Kusunda coal fields appears to be hidden. A significant part of the film takes place at night, illuminated by the headlights of an endless row of passing trucks and the many fires where raw coal is burned.
