'Clapboard Jungle' follows the life and work of independent filmmaker Justin McConnell for five years. It takes a look at the difficulties of financing a film as well as the search for the right collaborations and how distribution works. Old hands from the trade such as Guillermo del Toro, Paul Schrader, Dick Miller, Mick Garris and Tom Holland talk about their experiences. They also share tips to make it or survive in this low-budget film industry in which nowadays everyone can make a film, but hardly anyone can make a living from it.
