Children 404 plot

In response to the criminalization of "propaganda for homosexuality" by Vladimir Putin, activist Elena Klimova founded 'Children 404', an online forum for Russian gay and lesbian youth. It includes a team of counselors who provide free online advice. Klimova has since been arrested and awaiting trial. A legal magistrate from Saint Petersburg has filed a complaint against the site. For the participants, however, Children 404 is a lifeline, a place where they can break out of their isolation and the only place where their experiences of being hunted and barked are considered unjust. The eighteen-year-old Pasha quickly takes center stage. He has survived molestation and intimidation and is now determined to fight back. Pasha decides to emigrate to Toronto to study and hopefully find a friend.
