Chellaponnu plot
In her documentary, director Silke Abendschein shows the daily lives of five very different Indian women. They live far away from the big cities and have to work hard every day. Life in the arid lands of the Indian subcontinent is an ever-continuing ordeal for the women, whether they are young or old. But the documentary film star also records the wishes and desires of these Indian women. She also compares the lives of women today in the Indian countryside with the story of the German Rose who tells about her life on a Swabian farm in the 1960s. The film star draws parallels in time and space, through everyday life on the Indian countryside and the rural life of Germany 50 years ago, and they don't seem to differ much.
