Blue Box plot

Joseph Weits kept diaries for years. The 5000 pages cover more than 80 years of history. Using the diaries, Michal Weits reveals how the massive land purchase ultimately led to the establishment of the State of Israel. With the proceeds from the Blue Box campaign, the JNF bought land in Palestine and planted trees on it. The afforestation not only sowed the seeds for the birth of a nation, it also formed the basis for the insoluble conflict between two warring parties. Weits investigates her great-grandfather's actions through conversations with her family and discovers their uneasy legacy.
