Beyond This Place plot

"LSD, cycling and the pursuit of freedom"

Forty years after the 60's, Cloud Rock La Belle still goes through life like a real hippie: carefree and constantly stoned. His son, filmmaker Kaleo La Belle, attempts to come to terms with his absent father and invites him on a long bike ride. From behind his camera, Kaleo tries to understand this man who is so different from himself, while Cloud Rock tries to forge a functional relationship with a son he doesn't really know at all. Sharp but with a lot of humor, this film tells the story of a very unusual father-son relationship.
