Beloved plot
Life as a shepherd is tough and lonely, but Iranian Firouzeh (82) loves the capricious nature, the hard life and her loyal cows. She travels through rough areas, carries fagots and still climbs briskly in trees. For several seasons, the brave woman is followed during her many activities. In the meantime she tells about her life, in which work and bearing her fate are the common thread. She was married off at a very young age to an older man with whom she had eleven children. But not one of them comes to visit her. When she hibernates in the low-lying village, she makes frantic efforts to get closer to her children. Yet she is happy with the prospect of climbing the mountain with her herd again for another summer, despite well-intentioned advice from others to just retire.
