Beautiful Losers plot

"Make Something From Nothing"

The documentary focuses on the careers and works of a collective group of artists who started a movement in the art world based on the DIY (Do It Yourself) mentality in the early 1990s. They were influenced by graffiti and skateboarding and the underground music of the time such as punk rock and hip hop. In a series of interviews, these artists explain their reasons behind the 'do-it-yourself' style of street art. These include Thomas Campbell, Cheryl Dunn, Shepard Fairey, Harmony Korine, Geoff McFetridge, Barry McGee, Margaret Kilgallen, Mike Mills, Steven "Espo" Powers, Aaron Rose, Ed Templeton and Deanna Templeton.
