Bains Publics plot

"The Marolles", in the heart of Brussels. In 1953 a special swimming complex was opened in this residential area. A three-storey architectural gem with two swimming pools and showers for those who do not have sanitary facilities at home. Almost 65 years after opening, the complex is still a haven for the inhabitants of this working-class neighbourhood. It is a place of relaxation for people of different ages, backgrounds and social classes.
