Avodah plot

This documentary pays tribute to the pioneering work of early Jewish settlers in Palestine and showcases the technological and agricultural achievements of these pioneers. In addition to images of the port in Jaffa, the film gives a glimpse into the kibbutzim of that time. With an almost mythical image of the Jews in Palestine toiling amid the vast desert landscape, director Lerski praises the idea of a socialist Jewish state.
