Ashura plot

The Battle of Karbala was a military battle that took place in AD 680 in Karbala, in present-day Iraq, between the troops of Yazid I, the Umayyad Caliph, and Hussein, the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad. Hussein and all his supporters were killed. Women and children were imprisoned. This documentary shows Shia Muslim boys participating in a Hussein commemoration. They understand the seriousness of the tradition, but are too young to remain serious all the time.
