Antwerpen Centraal plot

Antwerp Central is about the physical and mental space of the Antwerp railway cathedral, from its origins to the present. In the course of the film, three centuries of Belgian train history are traversed: from the time when the Belgian Railways laid their first tracks to the construction of the high-speed line in the 21st century. For example, there are reminders of Belgium's colonial past and the location of the station in the heart of the busy Diamond District and the proximity of the Antwerp zoo evoke a surreal world. Opposing elements such as animals and humans, nature and industry, baroque and modernity, decay and construction are intertwined in a complex way.
