Angry Sky plot

In 1965, at the height of the space race, Nick Piantanida launched the first civilian space program. Piantanida, a New Jersey truck driver and exotic pet dealer, had no education and barely enough money to support his wife and their three children. But he had a dream: to take a hot air balloon to the edge of the atmosphere and jump out of it. If he succeeded, he would set a world record by freefalling for almost 17 minutes.
