Americaville plot

Jackson Hole, the 'suburban dream' in the outskirts of Beijing, is one of the many copied cities in China. Thousands of Chinese exchange the hectic life of Beijing to reside here in an artificial American bubble where everyone lives the 'American Dream'. Jackson Hole's real estate agents promote a life full of freedom, happiness, spirituality, love and your own backyard. Annie Liu, like her fellow residents, desperately pursues this American lifestyle. From clichéd American costumes, marshmallow dinners to textbooks on how to be the perfect American housewife, nothing seems absurd enough to live up to expectations.
