Alis plot
Teenage girls live in the La Arcadia Institute in the Colombian capital, Bogotá, who can no longer rely on family. They giggle in front of the camera, against a background of shelving units with their personal belongings. The camera slides past the full shelves, which are decorated with brightly colored nameplates: Natalia, Veronica - only Alis's compartment is empty. One by one, the girls close their eyes to imagine this imaginary classmate. As they reminisce about the imaginary Alis, their candid and sometimes shocking stories increasingly touch their innermost feelings, thanks to the fictional character's third-person perspective.
