Acid Horizon plot

Due to climate change, the chemical composition of the oceans is also changing, causing ocean acidification. dr. Erik Cordes has discovered that a specific deep-sea coral called Lophelia can adapt to ocean acidification and believes this super coral may hold the key to protecting other plants and corals from the effects of acidification. He undergoes a journey to the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico to collect samples.
