Abused by My Girlfriend plot

Documentary about the remarkable story of Alex Skeel, a 23-year-old man from Bedford who survived an abusive relationship with his girlfriend Jordan Worth. Based on interviews with Alex and his family and friends, private images and archive images from the police, the story of Alex is told, who was abused both physically and mentally by his girlfriend Jordan for several years. It becomes clear how Alex's life is slowly slipping away and how even his family and friends have no idea what is going on. The film also sparks a broader discussion about masculinity, the complex nature of relationships and stereotypes about abuse and domestic violence. In April 2018, Jordan Worth is sentenced to seven and a half years in prison, becoming the first woman in Britain to be convicted of coercive and controlling behavior.
