A Way Home plot

When filmmaker Karima Saïdi's mother gets Alzheimer's at the end of her life, she decides to portray her in her Brussels nursing home, before oblivion strikes for good. She takes Aïcha, who is becoming increasingly confused, on a journey of thought back to her past. Based on Aïcha's stories and accompanied by all kinds of archive material from the family, it is sketched what her childhood in Morocco was like, how her husband took her from Tangier to Belgium and how she later raised her children as a single mother.
