Syrian war refugee Maher was 21 when he came to the Netherlands in 2015. Two years later, he was taken from his bed by an arrest team in Bergen op Zoom. Suspicion: membership of a terrorist organization. Maher was held in the terrorist department of the prisons in Vught and Rotterdam for 955 days - until the judge acquitted him on appeal.
