5 Days plot
Seven film crews simultaneously follow the events surrounding the Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, which began on August 15, 2005. The film shows the main events during the withdrawal, over five days. The film crews had unrestricted access to the Israeli army and settlers. The cinematic operation is led by director Yoav Shamir, whose camera also follows General Dan Harel, commander of the Confederate Command in charge of the withdrawal. This human mosaic tells the story from different perspectives and describes Israeli society in all its complexity at a unique historical moment.
