Where the Action Is plot

Gambler Eddie Vallance wakes up in a strange house and soon finds himself the involuntary guest of one Walter "Daddy" Burns. Burns is described by a servant as "one of the five richest people in the world". He turns out to be a compulsive gambler, who may kidnap challenging opponents to play against him. Burns' claim to be the best poker player in the world is met with some skepticism by Vallance, but as a prisoner he has no choice but to go along with his jailer's wishes. After a series of matches, Vallance realizes that Burns is a psychopath who absolutely cannot take his loss and that he must get away.
