Ann Mason writes columns in magazines. Anne goes incognito at the patriotic organization United Defenders. In fact, this organization appears to be a front for extortion, perpetrated by disillusioned veterans. But an unexpected loss of memory after a traffic accident ultimately fails Ann's undercover mission and she falls into the hands of the blackmailers. Government official Steve Fuller is then put on the racketeering case and he might still be able to save Ann.
