The Watchmaker plot
February 1968. Amid a heavy snowstorm on the roads between the countryside and Stockholm, two young men, Sebbe and Adam, steal a valuable gold watch from a posh house. When the watch is accidentally damaged, they are forced to enlist the help of the reluctant watchmaker Karl Lundkvist. What begins as a desperate attempt to repair a broken watch quickly escalates into a perilous, high-stakes case, in which the two thieves, the watchmaker and his girlfriend Hedda, confront each other over the course of a single day.
