The Great Ice Rip-Off plot

A shipment of diamonds is stolen by cunning jewel thief Harkey Rollins (Gig Young) and his gang. Harkey himself takes the bus from Seattle to San Diego and along the way his gang members get on board with their share of the loot. One of the other passengers on the bus is ex-cop Willy Calso (Lee J. Cobb), who finds everything rather suspicious.
