The Clean Machine plot

A prime minister is elected in the Australian state of New South Wales. He promises to do something about corruption and sets up a special unit for this purpose. Ed Riordan of the traffic police is placed in charge of this unit, with the expectation that he will not be able to do much. However, that is disappointing. Riordan fights corruption all the way to the top.
