The Big Switch plot

A playboy and gambler, has a passionate evening with a beautiful woman. During that evening he goes away for a while, but when he returns the woman is dead. He doesn't want to see his name in the papers, so he evades the police. He soon becomes a victim of extortion. His blackmailers force him to help smuggle a dangerous mobster into the country.
