Strange Faces plot

"They looked alike...this sinister fiend and the country boy he impersonated...to steal a girl and her fortune."

A male and a female journalist investigate a crime. It concerns a mobster who has murdered his doppelganger. The criminal then assumed the man's identity. However, the couple of journalists are in constant disagreement, something that is not doing the case right right now.
