A nine-year-old girl is killed in a robbery gone wrong. The girl's father, a wealthy and powerful promoter, sends a team of hitmen after his daughter's killers.

Crime film with a very strange and nasty atmosphere. Almost all unsympathetic characters with whom you do not want to and cannot identify (the most sympathetic is a robber who is an accomplice to murder). The rather vague, jumping-off-top-the-top direction of Bedford does not help either. Perhaps all intended to conceal the fact that the story has little substance. The film was a reasonable success in the eighties with the video dealer (because the then popular comedian Smith has a supporting role as the villain), but I always ignored it at the time because it only received negative reviews. Thanks to a catch-up on our favorite pay channel, I now know that this was justified at the time, cheap-looking eighties action shit, not worth it.

1983 b film cinematically nicely messy shot. The whole thing comes about slowly, whereby the finale however surpasses the entire film. Beautiful, the faded glory of a Pleasureland with the funhouse of Alice in Wonderland. Furthermore real-time action, certainly the opening and the robbery deserve praise. The whole has little depth and there are some 'holes' but the film is easy to watch. Another striking UK 80's moment the posters on the wall in the apartment where Coyote stays, you will never see in USA films. Coyote and Smith sufficient.
