Sarah Pender is a charismatic and intelligent young lady who appears to be on her way to a productive and successful life when she enrolls in college. However, when she starts dealing drugs with her boyfriend Rick Hull to pay for her studies, Sarah's two roommates are shot and killed during a drug deal that apparently went wrong. Although Sarah was not present during the murder, all evidence points in her direction and she is eventually found guilty as the mastermind behind the double murder and sentenced to a prison term of 110 years. However, she manages to escape, making her one of the country's most wanted criminals.
