Sarkar Raj plot

"Power Cannot Be Given It Has To Be Taken"

Anita Rajan (Aishwarya Rai), director of an international company, wants to build a power plant near the influential Nagre family. Son Shankar (Abhishek Bachchan) sees the advantages of this and manages to convince his powerful father Sarkar (Amitabh Bachchan). Together with Anita, he tries to take over the people of Maharashtra. But not everything goes according to plan. Shady middlemen are emerging who benefit from a financial fiasco and who can get millions of people on board to oppose the controversial project. Shankar's dream thus turns into a political minefield. Opponents band together to bring down Sarkar's regime and thwart Shankar's political career.
