Règlements de Comptes plot

Bryant Hellis is released from prison after 17 years. He and his accomplice Paul Riquet had stolen diamonds. On the train that takes him back to Paris, Bryant is chased by Brasier and his two followers. Brasier used to be the man who planned the theft and is determined to get his share of the loot back. In the toilets of a restaurant, Bryant meets a certain Lécuyer, who helps him to shake off his pursuers and offers him to stay with him for the time being. Lécuyer claims that he was a former cellmate of Riquet's and that he knows where the stolen diamonds are hidden.
