On Thin Ice plot

A bank has been robbed. Rose Lore finds a full briefcase with stolen money after it was thrown over a fence. When Ruth hands over the briefcase to the police, it turns out to contain only newspapers and washers, after which Ruth is arrested. Ruth is quickly released, as the detectives hope she will lead them to the stolen money. The criminal Dapper Crawford, the creator of the bank robbery, also wants to know where the money has gone. Crawford has his accomplice Chuck White impersonate Rose's long-lost brother. Both criminals go to the countryside with Rose and find out that Rose is completely innocent. White, who falls in love with Rose, now wants to stay on the straight and narrow.
