Oitsumeru plot

A police officer thinks he can round up an expanding gang after a botched assassination attempt. But the killer remains silent and goes to jail for seven years while the gang solidifies its position. However, as soon as the killer is released, the policeman is back on his neck and he doesn't get much support from the gang to which he is so loyal. However, cornered, the mobster concocts a brilliant plan.
