Night Waitress plot

"She knew how to handle men...until love taught one man how to handle her!"

Helen Roberts, on parole, takes a job as a waitress at Torre's Fish Palace, a diner on the harbor in San Francisco. The guests are figures from the underworld and former bootleggers who now want to earn their fair share. Some of those ex-booze smugglers, including Helen's no longer welcome ex Martin Rhodes, have uncovered a mysterious and valuable hidden cargo. But when violence is used, Helen gets involved. Innocent as she is, she is on the run from the police and the criminals.
