Mantrap plot
"Scotland Yard warns private eye to reveal the whereabouts of the Man in Hiding."
The Brit Speight manages to escape after being found guilty of murder. His wife Thelma fears that he is after her because she is in love with another man. Thelma therefore changes her name to Tasman. The lawyer and Thelma's friend Hugo Bishop finds Speight at the crime scene and learns that he is after the real killer and not his wife. Bishop and Speight have several men as suspects, all of whom seem to know Thelma quite well.
