Le Bienfaiteur plot

In the village of Barfleur-sur-Oron, Monsieur Moulinet is a respected citizen. He helps where he can, with generous gifts so as not to leave the less fortunate to their fate. He is on good terms with the town's dignitaries and has glanced at the attractive widowed Madame Berger. Yet something strange is going on with him and Inspector Picard is investigating a certain Guillot, who is the head of a criminal gang. There are indirect clues leading to Moulinet.
